The Rural Nonprofit Leader Summit is a free, 4-day virtual event for rural nonprofit leaders who are doing meaningful work without the funding or resources they deserve. As a group, we'll help attendees learn how to fund the work, stop carrying it all alone, and keep both themselves and their teams from burning out alongside 20+ rural nonprofit experts.

How the Summit Works

The Rural Nonprofit Leader Summit runs October 20–23, 2026.

Presentations should be 15–20 minutes long and may include up to a 2-minute freebie invitation at the end.

You're welcome to present in whichever format feels most natural:

  • Slides

  • Camera only

  • A combination of slides and camera

  • Interview format

Presentations will be pre-recorded.

We'll host the summit, including the attendee community inside the platform Circle. While there isn't a required live component, if you're available when your presentation is released, we'd love for you to stop by your discussion thread, answer questions, and connect with attendees.

Leading up to the summit, we'll have a two-week promotion period beginning October 6, 2026.

You'll receive ready-to-use promotional materials—including email templates, social media captions, graphics, and suggested posting dates—to make sharing quick and easy.

Throughout the promotion period and during the summit, we'll also be offering the Rural Roots Toolkit, giving attendees an opportunity to continue learning while providing an additional revenue opportunity for speakers through affiliate commissions.

1. Speaker Information

Once you've confirmed your participation, you'll receive a Content Snare link where you can submit:

  • Headshot

  • Professional bio

  • Presentation title

  • Presentation description

  • Free resource contribution

  • Website and social links

  • Bonus contribution (if applicable)

What I’ll Ask of You

Our goal is to make participating simple and enjoyable while creating an incredible experience for attendees.

2. Presentation

Your presentation should be approximately 15–20 minutes and focus on providing actionable, practical value.

We encourage presentations that leave attendees feeling equipped and inspired rather than feeling like they're missing information they need to purchase elsewhere.

Suggested presentation structure:

  • Brief introduction

  • Overview of your topic

  • Teaching portion

  • Practical action steps attendees can implement immediately

  • Up to a 2-minute invitation to your free resource

3. Rural Roots Toolkit Contribution

We invite you to contribute a valuable bonus resource to the Rural Roots Toolkit.

Examples include:

  • Templates

  • Workbooks

  • Mini courses

  • Trainings

  • Membership access

  • eBooks

  • Other digital resources

Bonus contributions aren't required but are highly encouraged because they provide additional value for attendees while helping grow your own email list.

Bonus submission deadline: September 29, 2026

4. Promotion

The success of the summit depends on all of us working together.

Beginning October 6, 2026, we ask each speaker to promote the summit through:

  • One email

  • One social media post

Please be sure to use your affiliate link when promoting, which you’ll receive as part of the onboarding process.

Affiliate Details

We know visibility and new relationships are incredibly valuable—but we also want to compensate you.

You'll receive:

  • $100 speaker honorarium

  • 40% affiliate commission on Rural Roots Toolkit sales made through your affiliate link.

  • 40% affiliate commission on sales to my membership made through your affiliate link.

Pricing:

  • $47 for the first 30 minutes after registration

  • $77 during the standard pricing period

  • $97 during the final pricing period

Cart closes:October 25, 2026

Affiliate payouts will be made by October 30, 2026.

Please remember to disclose your affiliate relationship whenever you share the summit.

After the summit, I will offer my membership, Rural Roots Roundtable, to attendees who have shown interest. You will earn a 40% commission on the first three months of membership sales from attendees you’ve referred, which will come to a payout of $16.20 per sale.

To make promotion as easy as possible, you'll receive access to our Resource Vault.

Inside you'll find:

Circle Community

Our attendee community will take place inside the Circle platform.

You're welcome (but not required) to stop by while your presentation is live to answer questions and connect with attendees. You’ll receive an invitation to join after you’ve confirmed as a speaker.
